Vessel Overview

Vessel operations are the core business of the Company and are responsible for the bulk of the Company's revenue and earnings. MMA's strategy of providing our clients with high quality vessels on an "as required" basis, has been one of the keys to our successful development. During the first half of the 09/10 financial year, MMA took delivery of four new vessels for a total investment of $71 million, with the result that we are now in a position whereby we areeven more equippedto service our clients' range of marine requirements safely, efficiently and with a level of backup no other operator in the region can provide.

Working closely with our clients to understand their current and emerging needs, MMA is able to provide a range of marine solutions based on newbuild vessels, vessels purchased on market or vessels chartered into Australia from overseas owners. We have developed relationships with quality yards in Singapore, China and Malaysia and have recently taken delivery of new vessels from these yards. MMA is also able to source vessels for shorter term engagements and bring them into Australia under an Australian crew and management system. With the regulatory regime becoming more stringent, this expertise is of increasing importance as the industry develops in Australia.
